This talk features Alexander Schmidt (@alexsharks_), a wildlife and ocean explorer who captures the beauty and vulnerability of marine life through his photography. He will share stories from his time underwater, offering a glimpse into the world beneath the surface and the challenges facing ocean ecosystems today.

The talk features Christine Figgener - @seaturtlebiologist, marine biologist and science communicator internationally recognised for her conservation work and featured by BBC and National Geographic. Christine will share firsthand experiences from the marine conservation field, reflect on the challenges facing marine wildlife, and explore how awareness can turn into meaningful action for ocean protection.
The session is part of FEE’s Water Explorers campaign, highlighting the importance of protecting our oceans and freshwater ecosystems. Alongside Christine’s talk, we also shared impactful case studies from across the FEE network that demonstrate how communities and young people are taking action to safeguard water environments.
