Foundation for Environmental Education
Established in 1981, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is one of the world's largest environmental education organisations, with over 110+ member organisations in 85 countries. With 40 years of impactful experience in ESD, our strategic plan - GAIA 20:30 - prioritises climate action across all five programmes to address the urgent threats of climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental pollution.
Our educational programmes, Eco-Schools, Learning about Ecosystems and Forests (LEAF) and Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE), empower young people to create an environmentally conscious world through a solutions-based approach. Our Green Key and Blue Flag programmes are globally recognised for promoting sustainable business practices and the protection of natural resources.

ONline Event: Strengthening Climate Resilience & School SafetY
Date & time: 10 December 2025 - 13.00-14.30 (UTC), online
This online event unites experts and schools to exchange knowledge and experience on strengthening climate resilience and school safety. It will highlight the collaborative work of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and the Global Alliance for Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience in the Education Sector (GADRRRES), and high-level partners such as CDRI, ARUP and Alana. The discussion will focus on practical measures, governance, and partnerships that help create safer and more prepared learning environments. Participants will explore how schools can move from awareness and concern towards coordinated and effective action, drawing on international examples, new guidance, and shared resources developed through continued collaboration. Litter Less Campaign
The Litter Less Campaign is a joint initiative of the Mars Wrigley Foundation and Foundation for Environmental Education. Since its launch in 2011, the Litter Less Campaign has educated over three million students around the world about the challenges of litter and waste in their communities and empowered them to become leaders driving sustainability and positive behavioural change.

Global Action Days
For more than ten years, the annual Global Action Days campaign has inspired environmental action across the global FEE network. This year, we took taking action for ecosystem restoration, highlighting the power of education to protect our planet. 664,322 registrants from 145 countries to part in the campaign making the biggest one yet. The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is proud to be a Supporting Partner of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration for the protection and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity around the world. Greening Education Partnership
The Greening Education Partnership is a global initiative that takes a whole-of-system approach to support countries in tackling the climate crisis by harnessing the critical role of education. FEE is proud to be an active part of the GEP Advisory Board and co-lead of GEP Pillar 1 on Greening Schools.
