The Asociación Colombiana de Ingeniería Sanitaria y Ambiental (ACODAL) is a not-for-profit trade association of private and public sector organisations invested in water, sanitation, and environmental engineering issues in Colombia. ACODAL works to promote environmentally sound engineering practices in Colombia and abroad through education, scientific research, and environmental projects, with a particular focus on protecting and conserving water resources.

Biosfera 1, based on São Vicente in the Cabo Verde archipelago, is an NGO dedicated to the preservation of Cabo Verde's natural heritage. Their mission is centered on Cabo Verde's coastal and marine ecosystems and the protection of their unique and diverse fauna. Through educational and technical training programmes, Biosfera 1 works to teach the people of Cabo Verde about biodiversity loss and to inspire them to advocate for the preservation of their natural resources.
